Published by admin under football

FIFA Ranking is a compilation of soccer team affiliated to FIFA.  Currently ranking is compiled from 208 countries around the world.

In 2006, after the World Cup in Germany, has introduced a new algorithm for ranking points, which is valid until today. The number of points to be awarded for a match played depends on the following factors:     What ended the match result? (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and a defeat 0 points) – M     How important was this game? (From the friendlies after the FIFA World Cup) – I     How strong was the enemy? (Which takes place in the FIFA Ranking) – T     Which continent is the enemy? (Eg, European countries are generally stronger than Asian) – C All of these factors are multiplied among themselves and get points for that match – P P = M * I * T * C * 100 The total number of points for a given country is the average number of points for all games played in the last 4 years with bonus matches played recently. Games played within the last 12 months have a weight of 100%, while those in subsequent years, respectively weighting of 50%, 30% and 20%.

Interview with Coventry football player

Published by admin under football

When was the last time you went to a pop concert? I went to see Primal Scream in the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth last week, and they were absolutely awful. A real disappointment because I was expecting something pretty good.

When was the last time you were late for training? I’m never late and I’m even training through the summer to get myself ready for next season after my injury problems.

Noel Whelan and Paul Telfer are the worst two at the club for lateness. Noel lost his driving license a few months back and Telf is driving him everywhere so when one is late the other one is too.

When was the last time you have won on the lottery?

Let’s Kick Racism Out of Football

Interview with Michael Duberry, Chelsea football club player.

What do you think about:

Being out injured for most of ’97?

The only good thing is that I’ve got youth on my side. While I was out injured, Ian Wright passed on some kind advice. He said ‘You’re good enough and you’ll get a taste of Chelsea’s success later on so don’t let it get you down’. I’ve taken that on board and I feel that l’n1 good enough and the way the club’s going, there/s no reason why I shouldn’t sample another Cup Final this season, a run in European football or even a Championship. David Lee was out at the same time as me and we worked hard together. When I was down, he picked me up and I did the same for him. But now I’m on a high and I’m buzzing for the club. I’m doing something I love and I’m playing now for one of the top clubs in the country.

Euro 2012 tickets

Published by admin under European Cup 2012

The results of the lottery for Euro 2012 tickets are already known since the end of April. The demand for the tickets for football matches held during Euro 2012 has been so massive, that UEFA created and launched a web portal dedicated to ticket distribution.

Everyone who created their personal account, after registration and filling in the application forms for Euro 2012 tickets took part in the lottery. The regulations for the tickets for football – or for Americans – soccer matches were very strict. You could not apply for more than 4 individual tickets for one match, for the tickets on two football matches held on the same date or choose the seats, only the zone on the stadium.

If you have not been successful in the lottery, there are still several ways to obtain the Euro 2012 tickets. One of them is the second lottery, from the tickets that people give up on. In July 2011, another UEFA website to apply for the tickets that will have been returned will be launched. Another way is to wait for and actively participate in promotions organized by UEFA sponsors, e.g. Carlsberg, Coca-Cola or McDonald. They have received a pool of tickets and will certainly use them to attract sports fans. There will also be a possibility to communicate with people who want to sell their football tickets on other official portals.
