Euro 2012 referees selected for the Euro 2012 tournament

UEFA has announced the names of 12 judges who were appointed by the Judicial Commission to conduct UEFA matches in the finals of the Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

UEFA Referees Committee has appointed 12 judges, who will lead the 31 matches during next year’s final tournament of Euro 2012 the European football championships in Poland and Ukraine.

For the first time in the history of the UEFA European judges will have the additional support through the decision-making rules of football, the International Council of Football (IFAB), which allows the continuation of an experiment using two additional assistant referee.

Preparations the judges to Euro 2012 will include a variety of courses and training activities, including:
UEFA’s annual winter course, during which the judges will receive technical instructions and plans for physical training, which should be used until the final tournament
Judges preparatory workshop in Warsaw. Five judges will train together in its database. Pass the tests of endurance and will be checked by the use of these technical instructions they received.
